Recently, a couple of residents have experienced issues with trying to replace a damaged trash or recycle bin. The Board has reached out to our contract manager at Waste Management to address the issue. Waste Management recommends that any resident needing replacement send an email to cssatex@wm.com rather than calling the Customer Support line. This has the added benefit of establishing a written request for easier tracking of response times. For general questions or issues, please continue to call Customer Support at 800-800-5804 from 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
Additional guidance about our pickup schedule, what materials can be placed in recycling or trash, and other information can be found on the Trash link at the top of our website at www.hcmud502.org.
HC MUD 502 Board
Harris County MUD 502 is in the process of applying for the Water Smart Program offered by the Association of Water Board Directors. The goals of this program are:
- Increase awareness of the need for water conservation both during a drought and year round.
- Avoid or postpone the need for mandatory water rationing when possible.
- Enable the public to participate in water conservation efforts both inside and outside the home.
- Leverage existing local water conservation efforts.
Districts that participate in this program have been shown to reduce costs, which directly translates into lower utility rates and taxes for our residents. MUD 502 may partner with other Towne Lake MUDs for some of the community activities that are required for participation.
We will provide updates once the application process is complete.
